I’m going on strike – a strike against cleaning my flat. I just can’t do it any more.
I really can’t stand cleaning; it’s one of my least favourite activities and we only have so much time on this planet so why should I waste it on cleaning when I can afford to pay someone else to do it for me?
I’m not even very good at it to be honest. This is probably because I dislike doing it and tend to rush things when I do attempt it. I get the hoover out and I push it around thinking I’m actually doing some good but afterwards I always spot areas that I haven’t gone over but do I turn the thing back on and finish the job? Of course not!
That’s why I’ve been on the lookout for good domestic cleaners in Bexley and I’ve found some companies who seem ok and that don’t charge too much. I reckon that for around £20 every two weeks, I can get my flat cleaned to a fairly reasonable standard – I mean they are hardly going to scrub for hours for that price but they’ll vacuum, dust, clean the kitchen and bathroom to a decent standard and all without me having to lift a finger.
This makes me very happy and while I can afford to do it, I can’t think of worse things to spend my money on.
I think this will be my new philosophy when it comes to money – if I get pleasure from it or I can avoid pain, I will happily spend it. I’m also going to take the viewpoint that this is helping the local economy.
Either way, I’m getting a nice clean flat for the price of a couple of takeaways and that’s got to be worth it surely?
